I believe counselling can work by offering a safe space for you to be curious about what you are feeling rather than to keep uncomfortable feelings pushed away. I have 4 years of experience of supporting adults going through stressful and traumatic life situations, people who feel like something just isn’t right as well as people who want to explore and understand themselves better.

I work with people to identify where they are experiencing emotional pain, where that might come from, and how that is affecting their day to day lives. Sometimes, when a life event hits you or you are confused by an emotion, it can result in all sorts of emotions from other experiences come flooding out, meaning that there is a lot to deal with. It is useful to have someone walking with you to guide you through these times.

I am trained as a Person Centred counsellor, as well as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. IFS is an effective tool to dig deep into the different aspects of our personalities. I find it an incredible way to get to understand yourself and your behaviours, and to find the support from within to make a difference.
